Rosalia

Rosalia Vila is a Spanish flamenco and pop singer. When she was a teenager, she has worked in both the traditional and popular music. However, her musical interests have expanded to encompass soul and hip-hop. Her voice has been described by no less a talent than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sweet and sharp, however with a bit of bite similar to older versions. El Mal Querer gained her notoriety and commercial success when her debut album Los Angeles was released in 2017. It earned an award from the Latin Grammy Award for Best New Artist. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd came out in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with many artists including Cory Henry, James Blake and many others. The album was released in on March 20, 2022 following an Saturday Night Live performance featuring the song Chicken Teriyaki. Rosalia was the first Spanish soloist to appear on Saturday Night Live. Motomami was the only woman in history to be the recipient of the Latin Album of the Year two times in addition to the three Latin Grammy Awards.
