Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global breakthroughs into the Latin popular music scene. In the year 2017 the hit song from 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. The album he released as his debut ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. On the Top Latin Albums chart, it reached no. 8. In the following year, he joined Ozuna for their Top Five smash Vaina Loca. Mala Influencia was his collaborative effort with Noriel in 2020. The following season, Dopamina became his second album. Then in 2021 he sang a duet on TINI's streaming smash single Maldita Foto. 2000 also saw the huge song La Bachata appeared in 2023. Turizo was raised in a musical family, his older brother and mother are both musicians. He has said in interviews that music is a must. When he was a kid, he began learning how to play the saxophone, as well as piano and ukulele. The initial goal was to become a vet however, his brother Julian persuaded him to learn to sing with an instructor from a Cuban instructor. What happened was that he found his talent for singing and altered the direction of his life.
